buying a .ie name and hosting

hi,
i'm looking into buying a .ie domain name (which is available) for an after school club i am setting up. the .com version of it is taken by the looks of things but is not being used so is it possible to buy this too off of whoever owns it?? and if so can you reroute one site to the other?? and i'm hoping to get someone to design it using probably wordpress.org so how much would it cost to host it on your site??

Acquiring the existing .com domain name could be quite expensive depending on what the domain name is and how much the current holder wants for it. You can use a service like this: http://blacknig.ht/czo 

If you were able to acquire the .com you could point it at the .ie
