Taking a extra subject

    Hi im just going to 5th year on monday and im doing the following subjects maths english irish french chemistry physics economics and applied maths outside school.
    The question I want to ask is if you take an extra subject outside school do you sit the exam for the leaving cert in school or outside school?:)

    In school. In Leaving Cert around January you'll get a form in school where you tick off the subjects you are doing. They might be pre printed on it, and you will add applied maths to your list. You will then sit the exam in your school. If no one else is doing it in the school, you'll be in the exam on your own.
