What to ask for Rover 75?

    Hello

Not sure if this is suitable but could someone give me an idea of how much I should advertise my car for.
I've had it 6 years with one owner before me. It's a 2005 rover 75 1.8 petrol. It has a new test for 2 full years from yesterday under the new voluntary system. It has 150k miles but we have never abused it. It had new head gasket with belts etc at 112k miles new exhaust back box for test. New rad as well only a month ago and 4 good tyres and will have a service before sale most likely. Body is very good and original with original alloys.
It has no leather but even though it's a low spec version, it still has reversing sensors, leaving and coming home lights, auto dimming mirror, aircon, auto wipers, headlight washers and remote locking. The auto wiper ffunction is a small bit dodgy but everything works besides.
I know its not worth alot but what should it be advertised for? I'm hoping the very long test is a selling point.

I would say it is a bangernomics car. There are two rover 75s from 05 with teh 1.8 petrol engine - both 2000

I wouldnt say there will be much of a difference in price between yours an these. If I was you I would advertise at €2400 - if you get no calls in a week or so drop to 2200 a week after that 2000 and then 1800. I wouldnt go any lower than this.

    Really.
I didn't think it would be worth that.
Alot around here tell me its worthless but that's without even seeing or knowing the car.
I thought it was only worth around a thousand but then again maybe some of the cheap stuff I see for sale has issues. We have kept on top of the niggles that come up occasionally so it's in good shape.

I wouldnt let it go for a thousand. Have you receipts to back up that it has been looked after - the headgasket in particular?

If I was you I would advertise at €2400 -

9 year old k-series with 150K for 2400e? Even with 2 year test this is pushing things a bit.

list at 1750, aim for 1650. If car is as well cared for and you say, and you can get this through to the buyer then you could shift it. Even this is optimistic. k-series head issues are well known. as long as your receipt shows the better gasket was used.
Still, some people love them ( they are a nice place to be and are pretty refined) so good luck.

At this stage with the derisory prices offered for them probably the most sensible thing to do with a 75 which is in good order is to drive it until it dies.

I'd advertise it at around €1850 and accept an offer of €1500 or more.
