Windows 7 disk for custom new PC!

Hi,

I'm getting my PC this week but I need WINDOWS7 Home premium 64bit. I already know where to buy a product key but i'm not sure where to download WINDOWS7 onto a disk.

Got any links? Thanks in advance!!

here you go, the official legit, proper download link (i.e. not dodgy, so nobody gets in trouble) for the ISO of Win7 Home Premium 64bit.

you can either burn it to disk with imgburn or similar, or us the Windows 7 USB tool to make a bootable USB stick (needs to be 4gb or larger) to install from (my personal favourite way of doing it for the last several years).

Sorry for dragging up old thread.

Can the 1st link above (ISO of Win7 Home Premium 64bit) be used for computer with no OS? After buying activation key as well.

ie: put the above onto usb/disc then turn on computer. will windows 7 then install on the computer, and enter activation key when prompted?

Will all necessary drivers be installed as well.

This should work for a new machine, yea. Not sure if it'll get all the drivers (I'd be 90% certain it should though), but you should always go direct to source to get your drivers anyway to be certain.

Hi lads. I think I might be hijacking this thread but anybody have a good site for an activation key. If I put into google, I get nothing but illigal spammy sites. Also how much does one pay for them these days.

If you're in college or anyone close to you is, you could get a free key? Or else on redditsoftwareswap you could buy one for around $10. I've never had bad experiences with RSS, but the every once in a while someone getting burned for the $10 would make me seek out someone with dreamspark in college for a free key.

Little help needed here....
have the file downloaded (win 7 HP 64 bit). What do I do now?

Do i simply put it onto a usb and insert into new pc with no OS? Finding the instructions a little difficult to understand about the windows download tool.
