So when, people donate 2 euro, does the 2 euro go to the assoc or does part of it go to service providers etc??

No that is incorrect. I believe that 250,00 is earmarked for research as a result of the current fund raising . Most the money goes on providing comfort services.

It's a horrible disase where the mind is trapped in a prison

of the 2 euros I think its a quarter. I know tesco donated 10k but id love to know how much has been made selling ice.

To the best of my knowledge, their main remit is providing nursing and help to people suffering with MND. Only a very small part of their remit is funding research.

cheers for the response, after researching where the money goes it seems they are a good charity.

I'm glad most of their money goes to support services. The amount of money raised in this campaign is not really enough to meaningfully progress research, but it can make a real difference in peoples day-to-day lives through nursing care and other support services.

Not at all, I have never given that sort of cash away to charity before. But A lot of charities embezzle the majority of it.

It was a simple question and I dont know anyone on here nor do they know me so its to no gain.

Maybe you should stop thinking the worst of people and look in the mirror

then why say how much you were donating or that you were donating at all? Why not just google the info you're looking for?

I heard an interview on Newstalkl with a guy with MND and the case and support given to him by IMNDA is quite amazing.

I understand that the US based ALS foundation is somewhat most suspect.

Why not just google the info you're looking for?

Because it was Saturday night and im working all week and i was being lazy. If we were to all do this then there would be no such thing as a forum. Also I did look at their site but I couldnt find any link directing me to percentages etc.

Just so you know, my real name is not megatron and im not a real tranformer so not one person on here has any link to me so its not about that. You jumped to conclusions because thats the type of person you are. I asked a question and you tried to insinuate something

So instead you decided to create a thread on boards about it?
I just googled IMNDA, the very first link is their page, right at the top it says "About IMNDA", and that brings a drop down menu with "where does the money go". It literally took 5 seconds.

The rest of your comment is seriously not worth replying to

I got to there and wanted to know if the massive slice in the pie chart named services was admin or actual services.

Looking through your previous posts to see what an idiot you are, my suspicions were justified. Your are complete sh1tebag who only replies because of lack of other things to do. I am fully aware this will get me a ban but I dont care as ive better things to be doing than talking to an ignorant cnut like yourself online. Now..... kindly go fcuk yourself

It's not. Neither the Irish body nor the US body is solely concerned with research, and if it is implied that money that does not go to research is somehow misappropriated, then a false and unfair impression is given.
