Drum n Bass or Dubstep in Dublin

Hey there, I'm visiting Dublin for a few weeks and was about to find a place (club, events etc.) where dnb is played. Actually I'm quite shocked that there isn't anything at fb or other "famous" websites.
I would also go to a dubstep event...
But am I'm right that there's no dnb scene in Dublin?
I would really appreciate any hints you could give me!
    Regards

"twisted pepper" would be your best bet, check out their website, usually have international names over, anything from Berlin/detroit djs/artists to dnb artists. Let's face it, dnb scene died many years ago, only a relatively small scene these days. Enjoy ;)

    My ears are burning!

    :pac:

Howdy! Plenty of life left in the Dublin D&B scene (and a good bit more in the wider Irish scene in Cork, Belfast, Limerick, Galway too).

Things usually slow right down in the summer time with all the festivals but by September it picks up again, there's five or six different crews all doing their thing in various venues, Twisted Pepper has kind of cut back on the D&B the last year or two, but Spectrum and Renegade Noize both still do some great parties in there; Marky and Rodigan are in there next month, Phil Tangent and Penny Giles just played there last Friday, the Irish Drum and Bass facebook page and the associated Facebook group are good ways of staying in touch with what's on in there. Hertz-U should be getting back into the clubs after the summer break soon enough, and the Springfield crew do stuff in after hours and warehouse venues most weekends, there's also the Absys Records guys doing three or four parties a year and a few one-off things here and there that just sort of pop up, also there's a new night down in The Pint run by Jah Eire focusing more on the reggae-dnb crossover buzz, as well as the Ragga Jungle Ireland nights down the Turk's Head every so often.

The Energy Collective are doing semi-regular DnB night in Fibbers on Parnell Street, but they cover all sort of stuff so it's worth checking before you head down. There's also the Northside Jungle Coalition doing nights here and there but I'm not sure they have a fixed venue at the moment.

Finally, my own night DRANK will be back for Halloween, although we're not really a DnB night as such, we do Grime / Footwork / Ghettotech / Jungle and DnB and pretty much anything fast, bassy, complicated and fresh sounding.

Good places to find out what's on :

    www.irishdrumandbass.com
    www.twitter.com/idnb
    https://www.facebook.com/IrishDrumAndBass

For DnB on the radio tune into Raidio na Life 106.4 FM every "ednesday from 2100 till 2230 (in the Greater Dublin Area only but there's a webstream at www.raidionalife.ie as well as free smartphone apps for iOS and Android - make sure you get the correct spelling for "raidio" as in the Irish for "radio" not "radio" the way you spell "radio" in English). Three hours of fresh D&B from myself and Quality Mark every Wednesday night anyway, as well as another three hours every Saturday night when they repeat it.

Spectrum do the 2000-2200 slot on RTE Pulse available online or on DAB radio as well, and they're allowed do their show in English so you'll actually be able to understand them when they're plugging gigs (plus they have CDJ's in their studio so they can play the proper upfront stuff that I have to wait on the vinyl for)

Hey there, thanks for the fast replies. I hoped for some clubs which playing regular dnb or some resident djs who are known to prefer dnb. Sadly it's here like where I'm from (Ger).
But I've got very good hints for making my staying in Dublin more memorable now.
Thank you all, especially Executive Steve!
    Cheers!

Hadn't time for that. But I'm gonna check out Fibber Magees this night:
Can't post URLs, cause I'm new. Who's interested in, search for "allied energy collective" on Facebook.
