They were very, very fast. They make kitesurfers look positively easy to photograph.

Heard them go over while sitting in traffic in the quays. I remember going to the airshow in Baldonnell (during my leaving) and a single F15 did a supersonic flypast. You felt the sonic boom rather than hear it.
