    Hi all
I'm expecting delivery on my first road bike soon and want to get kitted out as best as I can..as the thread title suggests im looking for a GPS/computer for the bike but don't want to spend crazy money... am I best using my phone or is a standalone unit better?
I'd be happy with a second hand one also if anyone has one lying around .... cheers

The phone and the strava app work quite well but it won't be long before you start dreaming of buying a garmin edge 810 with the heart rate monitor and cadence sensor. I'm in this exact boat at the moment:-)

I used my phone for a year but it's quite sore on the battery so bought a Bryton 20 and then upgraded to a Bryton 35 (Garmin 500 equivalent)

You'll pick up a Garmin 200 cheap enough but they're roughly €100 new.
