    Hello,

I purchased a car a couple of months ago, and when I brought it to VRT the rate had gone up significantly due to them adjusting the OMSP of the car - I've tried to sell it privately but no luck so I'm going to trade it in.

so... What car would be a good buy in Northern Ireland value wise and popularity - I was thinking a 1.6 BlueMotion golf due to cheap VRT and low emissions. I have approx £7,000 to £8,500 to spend ex VRT

(sole purpose is to sell, I can't find anything with value for myself up the North so I'm going to just buy in the republic when I sell - high emissions don't play nice in VRT terms)

    cheers
