    HI All,

I have an interview on Monday and last minute they have asked me to prepare a presentation on what I hope to achieve in the first 30/60/90 days. Its for a sales rep job out on the road, which I have not done before.

Has anybody any advice on how to do this or examples of theres? I have googled it but there all American versions and I am really unsure what to put into it.

All help appreciated as I'm literally freaking out!

Mods may move if in wrong section

    TIA

You didn't give too much detail on the role but I'll chime in with what I did from previous sales roles

    First 30 days
-Setting up a plan of action with goals and targets, organize
-Familiarizing myself with all company products
-Research on the company's background to portray passion to clients
    -Building connections with those clients
-Keep a diary log to take note of good days/bad days

    60 Days
-If you have leads from previous month call them back
-Evaluate previous months progress and critique your performance
-Jot down things you will do differently in this month
    -Build more connections

    90 Days
    Same as above

The point you need to gather is sales performance can go up and down, depending on the industry, you will have very good months and pretty bad ones as well. What is most important to you at the beginning is to hit the ground running by getting to know the company's operations and products, why do clients want these products? You have to tailor your sales pitch which takes time and practice. This is why it is important to carry a log that details what you did right on a particularly good day so you can follow the same formula for the following day. Also keep the clients details on your log so if you don't make the sale this month you can hit them up on the following month

    Great advice from Romangod there.

but to be honest the request is bull unless you're interviewing for a sales manager role. They define the sales process. What they have asked indicates a lack of proper sales techniques, process and management.

Nevertheless as a response you need to get to know your product and market, and then build a sales pipeline/revenue stream. Drill into the customer and break them into groups - indentify the high profit ones, the high potential ones - these are your key targets.

How do you generate leads? How do you qualify leads?

I could go on and on, but would need to know more about the business.
