Best Dosing Method?

Remember seeing after a Teagasc experiment good few years back that sheep esp mature ewes had best response to likes of a fluke or worm dose when it was administered on an empty stomach.
Now realistically that's v difficult to plan/achieve esp when ewes are pregnant or have lambs at foot but do many use this tactic?. This time of year could give a chance to leave ewes standing for a night before dosing them the next morning.Hope to do it here.

To be honest i think once you dose for the correct weight, have the dosing gun set right and make sure the ewe take the dose properly anything else is just over complicating things imo.

Keep swapping products around as well. Never same colour dose twice .

Try and do above points alright,I was just wondering in the perfect scenario does it help to dose ewes empty?
In theory it should as when they take the dose it isn't competing with food on the stomach so should be absorbed better.

I've no data to back this up but my impression is that dosing on an empty stomach is slightly beneficial. That slight bit extra may have been important years ago when doses were poorly effective but htese days with better doses I'd say the difference is marginal. Proper dosing technique and making sure it isn't spat out would likely be more beneficial.
