Leap Card expiring with recently bought Rambler credit

My leapcard is due to expire end of this year with 20-odd days Rambler credit left on it, so I'm wondering can that credit then be transferred to a new leapcard or do I just have to try use up all the days before Dec31st if I want to make use of what I've already paid for?
