Heat pump troubleshooters - experience?

    Hi all!

At the beginning of the year my husband was at a Germany fair and came back excited about Neura heat pumps. We decided to go for it and contacted Walsh in June. Everything looked excellent. However, after reading in a forum about the Neura service agency TECH and the problems some experiences with them, we grew hesitant. We have since learned from Walsh that the contract with TECH has been terminated and a company called heat pump troubleshooters does the servicing for them now.

Has anyone had any experiences with them? We have friends in Germany who absolutely love their Neura heat pump and the information about the heat pumps online is promising. As I’ve said, it’s the service part that worries us, so thanks for your thoughts!

    Jennifer

Hi Gunslinger99, we have already decided for a Neura heat pump. Next week we will get an offer from Walsh.

I have a neura heat pump, I wouldnt put one in again. Parts are too expensive and compressors will only last 5 yrs or less. They are the most troublesome pumps around

In the meantime, we have decided that we will use the heat pump from Neura.
Prior to this decision we spoke to a technician from Neura who admitted that, in the past, there had been many communication difficulties with TECH. We have been assured that the future of the service department is in good hands with the new service partner, heat pump troubleshooters. The service technicians from this company appear to be very competent. The heat pump has been running since last week and even the guarantee was extended because we had to connect the heat pump with a router.

I have found out since that the installation of neural heat pumps were not up to scratch and that's why most of the compressors are failing. Once their installed correctly, you should have no problems.
