    been using this box awhile now but never got to the bottom of getting pvr to power down as its always on and spinning,on my second hdd externally powered 1tb:eek:,any body using one that has one that only powers up for recordings?
    first one was formatted by box setup,second one not setup but will check if it recorded earlier:D

    I am just using 500gb usb powered one now but i did use an externally powered 1tb usb before and that used to power down fine when on standby. the box does have a problem of not going on standby after recordings sometimes so the hard drive would stay on

    interesting woke up this morning and it was quiet hand on box and not spinning but light was on to show power on.

    I have a Triax tsc114, works fine except for recording, using Usb stick, the unit records without being programmed to do so until memory is full. I have changed and formatted sticks but issue persists. unit records on different channels at different times mainly over night. Anyone else having this problem or any advice on correcting the problem.

    i am using a toshiba 2tb externally powered hdd and recordings work ok,previous verbatim was faulty.i factory reset and rescanned again before adding hdd and let box setup hdd,i then use epg to set timers.
    what firmware is on box,i know there is a later one than mine.

    sorry for the delay in reply, have been away.
    SW version says PESI-S-T-RO 2606. Haven't done any sort of update. Emailed Triax, got a reply
    but they said they hadn't encountered the issue before. Will just unplug USB stick and install when needed.

    U get the software revision by looking at the time date...the latest version will be marked jan 2013....
