Im considering purchasing a rainwater harvesting system or a wastewater treatment system, has anyone purchased and installed a rainwater harvesting system or a wastewater treatment system ? if so how much did the purchase and installation set you back ? also is there any extra costs involved for running either system ?

Haven't purchased yet, but am considering a large 6000L one from Kingspan.

Tank will be buried in garden and will pump water up to a special header tank in the attic, which will then feed outdoor taps, toilets and maybe washing machine.

The header tank will switch to mains supply if the outdoor tank runs out.

Going to cost about €2,800 plus VAT and will fit myself. You can get smaller, reduces cost by about €150 per 1000L capacity. 6000L is on the large side, but we have a large garden.
