Dust or Ash blowing over North Kildare today?

Hi, About an 1pm a really heavy fog came in over Johnstown Bridge area (Noth Kildare) and kids ran out to play. They came in covered in white dust! It blew over and then was followed by another. Everything is coated in fine white dust/ash. They both passed fairly quickly (within 15 min or so) Anyone know what it is or did…
