I have a choice between mechanical engineering level 7 and automotive management and technology level 7 in dit . Im not sure of the hours of either but I know the mechanical is considerably more , but my question is , is it possible to have a weekend job and be able to head out once or twice a week in either ??

Your priority attending DIT should not be which course gives you a social life etc. You're gonna last no length if you approach college that way.

The hours for Mechanical Engineering are long. Great course but if you are not getting the study and assignments done on time the workload can pile up. Sure you could work at weekend but not if you are going out 2/3 times a week.
