The media haven't directed my focus this week, having to think for myself

It's past midweek, normally I'd have been told what to focus my ire on by now, I might have even ranted a bit on social media about their chosen topic.
Ice buckets ran out of steam over the weekend but before that we had beheadings in Iraq & rockets in Gaza which got us most of the month.
I'm not liking this "holiday" where I have to think for myself.
At least Iraq & Gaza must have been resolved as there's no mention of it anymore, that's nice, & they must have cured motor neuron also, it's been a good month when you look back.

Ok, media, where do you want me now, just ask

take the last 2 months headlines, and ask yourself... 'has any of this directly affected me?'

    in no particular order:

    Gareth-gate : no

Gaza : no (made me angry alright, but didn't directly affect me)

    Albert Reynolds rip : no

    ISIS : no

    Iceland volcano threat : no

Ebola false alarm in Donegal : no

    Malaysia flight : no

    Ukraine : no

    Syria : no

    Dublin property prices : no

    Miley Cyrus : no

*time to re-evaluate whether the news is worth listening to.

You agree wholeheartedly with the outrage in the clip, and think all video games should be banned as a result.

My thoughts exactly, yet people insist on worrying about crap that has nothing to do with them. Syria/Iraq/Gaza/Ukraine/Miley Cyrus can be bombed flat and I still won't care.

Pretend you care if you want. Pretend till you're blue in the face. But it won't make the slightest difference to anybody.

Turn off the news and live your life free of media influence.

I'd imagine that you now wish you had taken the time to listen to the video before making such a huge turn in your position on video games then. But the time for that has passed, you feel so impassioned by the video that your only option now is to head towards the Dail for some sort of impromptu protest, perhaps stopping along the way to pick up some cardboard and makers to make yourself a quick sign.

I'm just glad that the media break has given you time to think on this important issue for yourself.

Speaking as someone who bought in 2005 & is now world wise I canoffer this advice, once you hear of people getting more than 3 times their salary due to our new affordability matrix just turn & run, run for your life.
