    Hi,
I had an interview for KFC last Sunday, interview went really well and the manager asked me to come in on Friday for who hours just to see how I am in the job.
I'm just wondering does this mean I basically have the job or have a still a long way to go? My friend went for the same job (there looking for 10 staff) and he got called back to do the same thing.

Any advice would be helpful, thank you.

Go in on time, clean, polite, easy to manage... and you'll likely get the job.

    They're basically testing you.

This. At that stage, you have the job until you mess up

....especially in view of the fact that you will not be able to do any onerous or demanding task without training. Emphasis on personality, getting on with people, being polite but not obseqious to customers etc will get you considered. Often with these types of jobs it is as important to know what NOT to do in a given situation than the traditional "looking busy" at all times. By all means tidy up stuff, wipe tables etc but do not move food around or cook stuff or adjust appliances etc until properly trained and cleared to do so.

Modern cash desks have log in controls so it unlikely that you will be handling cash on your first few hours.

HACCP rules, concerning hygiene and preventing the spread of germs in food will have to learned so you will probably be limited to front of house tidying and cleaning and bringing food to the tables of sit-ins as required.

Best of luck in your new job.
