    Hey!

So I passed my test today and got N plates.. The tester said that until I apply for my license I am still under the guidelines of the L plates!?!....

I wonder are the Guards strict about that at all..? I would imagine a lot of people choose to ignore that part, lol!

They said the same to me - but as soon as you go to the NDLS centre and get your receipt for your full license they will tell you that you can use that if you're stopped etc. In terms of the N plates - I have mine showing, takes 2 mins to put them up on the car, it's not worth the chance in my opinion. I'd rather have the peace of mind knowing I'm displaying correctly etc - but that's me

I have been given a booking date for the License and they couldn't give me one for another 3 weeks!! I have no problem having my N plates on my car but I will be driving haha

Yeah don't bother booking online - it's a joke. Just turn up for 8:45 am at the NDLS centre and get a walk-in appointment. I did that and only had to wait about 30 mins or so. There will be other people there but it's better than waiting weeks and weeks for a appointment.

You know those ads the RSA do about the numbers of convictions and fatalities. At some stage before the end of the year they will do a clamp down on N plates and include the results in one of those ads.
