In an announcement made yesterday afternoon at Harold’s Cross stadium by Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture Tom Hayes, it was revealed that the Irish Greyhound Board has signed a five-year partnership with Dublin Coach, a deal which includes sponsorship of the Puppy Derby at Harold’s Cross.

The CEO of Dublin Coach is John O’Sullivan, who is well-known in greyhound sport and whose company has provided dedicated transport to the National Coursing Meeting over the past couple of years.

Included in this new deal, in which Dublin Coach becomes the Official Transport Partner for the IGB, the company will provide a complimentary return shuttle service from Dublin City Centre to Harold’s Cross Stadium on Friday nights and Shelbourne Park on Saturdays, as well as a similar link from Limerick City to Limerick Greyhound Stadium on Saturday evenings.

The Dublin service, which runs from D’Olier Street, will commence this Friday, August 29, and will run on a trial basis every Friday and Saturday until the end of December. The Limerick service begins on Saturday evening.

The Dublin Coach Puppy Derby, with a total prize pool of €56,000, is scheduled to commence on Friday, September 12, with the final to take place on October 10.
