I am an ex builder on JSA and have been asked to do some building work which should only take 2-3 weeks for which I will be paid directly from client (not employee).
Not sure how this affects my S/W allowance and what deductions will be made.

If it meant having to sign off and sign on again I would be reluctant to take on the job.

If you will be working for 2-3 weeks your claim can be payment suspended but it also looks like that this work is self employment. When you sign back on your means situation will have to be reviewed by a sw inspector due to your self employment

    Thanks.
I would hope such an inspection / review would be very simple. Bank account details etc.

They may look at projected earnings from self employment.
