Understanding IGE Figures - Allergies

Our 3 year has just been diagnosed with a nut allergy.
He took a reaction on Paddys Day gone, lucky enough not severe, but enough to warrant a trip straight to Temple Street as his little face had balooned out :(

Anyway, roll on 5 months and we get our results :
The IGE is 1953 and for egg is 73 which is raised more than a normal child
The nut panel tested positive (Almond, Brazil, Peanuts, Walnuts)

To leave him for a year and to give him egg then.

Can anybody explain the IGE values to me?
    Thanks.

Sorry, we're not in a position to interpret your child's results for you. You would be better advised to have a chat with your GP or whoever ordered the test.
