On my car all 4 Tyres are 185 60 14 , been offered one good Tyre free as one of my need replacing but its 185 55 14, will this cause problems for NCT or driving.

youre tracking will go off (straight line driving will become annoying), also your tyres will wear unevenly and faster. Handling will be compromised aswell.

If you insist on doing it, make sure you put it onto a non-drive wheel.

I'd only do this as a tempory solution, but defo not as a permanent replacement.

It's an NCT fail if 2 tyres on the same axle are not the same size.
