Misleading Email From UCD Sport and Fitness

I got an email from UCD sport and fitness were they are offering gym and pool membership for €89

This is misleading because we already have access to the gym when we pay our student centre levy fee.

The fee of €89 is for access to the pool only (Which we should have for free) so they should not make it appear as though the €89 is for the gym as well.

It also says my membership is going to expire, again misleading because so long as I pay the student centre levy fee my membership will not expire. And I never had membership for the pool in the first place.

At least post the text of the email if you are going to complain about it. I assume, and I don't have the email, but its for access at all times as opposed to the restricted student times which is fair enough.

Your gym member expires on the 31st August until you pay the levy.

Below is a cut and paste of the text.
The text is structured to make you believe you have to pay the €89 to get access to the gym.

I hope that you have enjoyed your membership with UCD Sport & Fitness and have taken full advantage of our 50m pool, tepidarium, state of the art gym. and free fitness classes.

Your current Student Swim & Gym Membership/Student Gym Membership will expire on 31st August 2014.

This year I have some great news for you...

Register for a student Gym & Swim membership before August 31st for only €89 (normally €99).

In order to renew your membership please click on the following link. But hurry I can only hold this offer open until August 31st.

If you have any queries please consult the above link or alternatively contact reception on 716 3800.

    Kind Regards,

    UCD Sport & Fitness

Hardly misleading to be honest. If you are parting with money or considering joining a gym, you'll be sure to read the T&C's:

    http://www.ucd.ie/sportandfitness/membership/ucdstudentmembership/studentmembershipagreementconditions/

What I can't see for sure, and to be fair could be misleading, is if you are still allowed access in the off peak hours merely for being a student. Are they ending that perhaps?
