WWE Smackdown *SPOILERS*
August 29th 2014

(1) Roman Reigns def. Bray Wyatt via disqualification. The Wyatt Family hit the ring and attacked Reigns to cause the DQ. Big Show and Mark Henry make the save, even the odds, and the babyfaces clean house. This sets up the obligatory 6-man tag team match for later in the night, off what was originally supposed to be a regular tag match.

(2) Paige def. Emma in a non-title match. AJ Lee came out and gave some chocolates to the Divas Champion. Paige spits one at Emma, but AJ picks it up off the ground and eats it. More awkwardness between the two.

(3) Seth Rollins def. Rob Van Dam in a re-match from this week’s WWE Main Event. Crowd probably wasn’t into it as much, since they had just seen the match not an hour earlier.

(4) Rusev def. Jack Swagger. Bo Dallas came out and distracted him, so Rusev went over yet again. Bo got in the ring and actually attacked Swagger after the match.

(5) Jey Uso def. Stardust in singles competition. Goldust and Jimmy Uso were ringside, and the Rhodes brothers attacked the champions after the match again.

(6) Sheamus def. Damien Sandow. This was the exact same thing as Raw, with Sandow dressed up as the Miz. Sheamus went after Miz, but Dolph Ziggler runs down and throws him back in the ring. Sheamus tries for the Brogue Kick, but Miz rolls out of the ring the other way and escapes into the crowd.

(7) Roman Reigns, Mark Henry & Big Show def. The Wyatt Family. Typical 6-man tag team match with no real shenanigans. The babyfaces hit their finishers, win the match, and pose to end the taping.



Seems quite run of the mill.....

Poor Wyatts. But I suppose the young team of Show and Henry are fresher and need to go over again.

Based on what I personally know coming out of NXT is that I think the Wyatts will break up or turn between now and Night of Champions or slightly after that time as

the Ascension are set to be called up to debut the Raw after Night of Champions to feud with the Usos. I assume WWE thinks the Ascension and the Wyatts are too similar big heel tag team acts.

Hopefully that explains how they have been booked this week.

Emma and Paige got 12 minutes on NXT and 2 minutes on Smackdown. :rolleyes:

I assume there's a tiny mistake there - as that would be one hell of a difficult feud! :pac:

A profoundly lazily put together show padded out heavily by Raw recaps. REALLY don't bother.
