This model is actually well revered as the best "cheap" dash cam around, however from what I've seen, there's a lot of fakes doing the rounds with inferior chips and processors.

€35 is a very good price delivered (although careful of customs I guess?).

I'm not sure what exactly to look out for with regards the fake =VS= real models, but do you know is this the authentic higher quality one too?

EDIT: This is pretty comprehensive and explains about the fakes too: https://dashcamtalk.com/g1w/

If you scroll down, you'll see it does say it has a HDMI port so it could be the real deal :) The question is, how much will this end up costing if you get stung by customs!

I've written a short blog post on my experience of buying dash cams so far, might be somewhat useful: http://www.vantasks.ie/blog/dash-cams-buy-cheap-buy-twice-surprising-change-opinion

but at €35, you can't really go wrong :pac:

Any idea how long that coupon is valid for? How have peoples experiences been ordering items over €28 (that's the Import Duty limit, right?) from tmart?

Immm .. I got one ages ago. The one that techman on youtube linked to on his page. It does not look like the one you have posted.

I also got stung with a fake one a few months before. It did not record in .mov and had terrible dynamic range. Plus it was not 1080p by a long shot. Wasted my money. And it was advertised as having an NT96650 Processor as well. Which was a lie.

So beware when you are buying the cheaper ones. They have been cloned so many times, its had to find the proper job.

If you have a look at the dashcamtalk link, you'll see the H version looks exactly like the one on tmart.

I checked out of curiosity, how much the coupon would deduct off an order of 9 @ €34.70 each (€312 total) and it just deducted the same amount it does on an order of one, so brings it down to about €299 for 9 but would vastly increase the chances of getting stung for import duties. If it brought each down a further €12 to €22, it would definitely be worth the risk, but you're better off putting in 9 orders at €35.70 (€321) than 9 in the one order at €299 I'd say.

I'm also guessing the coupon is only valid for today since it's got 0827 in it!

It always showed at e48, you put the code in later on and it deducted 12 eur off it, but it's not working now :(

When I bought my action camera from TMart a few months back it was €65 and j didn't get caught with customs.

Seems to be really hit and miss from there.
