Cheap Cheap Keyboards

    Hello,

I am a teacher with a meagre budget for the new school year but would love to invest in some really really cheap keyboards to give the children some hands on practice with instruments rather than just have them clapping their hands or beating the hell out of random objects from the percussion box (no offence drummers). Would anyone have any advice or recommendations for me?

    Thanks in advance,
    Evan

It's a lovely idea. You might get into contact with a few shops like Waltons about it to see if they can facilitate you. Otherwise you might consider software with cheap audio interface keyboards if you use IT in the classroom, although that is probably not a given.

You could try sending a letter home to the parents, you'd be surprised how many people might have an old keyboard knocking around in the attic they'd be willing to donate.

Other than that keep an eye on adverts.ie and donedeal and possibly even your local SVP shop.
