I broke the screen of my iPhone 4s and took it in to be repaired at 'not an Apple store'. I wiped my phone before I handed it over. When I collected it, the shop logged into their own itunes account on my phone to show me its mine, then it was wiped again. I've come home and connected to my WiFi to do a restore from iCloud, and it shows my phone in the list of devices on my iCloud to restore from - good so far. Then it asks me for their iTunes password to allow a restore of apps/content. I've tried resetting it again completely, and still it keeps getting stuck there. What the hell do I do from here?

At a guess I'd say the shop forgot to sign out of the Find my iPhone and it won't let you restore it until they sign out. Just a guess on my behalf.

I don’t really understand why they’d need to login to your phone using their iTunes account.

    Try wiping the phone again.
