So i have no tv service at all

I do have some sort of fast-ish broadband (unsure exactly i think its 24mb) with smart telecom

I usually stream my football but its getting to the point where streaming is more stressful than the football so i need tv

I want sky sports, setanta and bt

This is all i really want but obviously will get whatever i have to within reason

So my question is what are my options. As cheap as possible prefferably as i dont like the idea of paying €100 a month to just watch the sports channels

Are there alternatives to signing up with sky or UPC

I'm in the Limerick city area

Its possible to take Setanta without taking any other TV package, if you get a satellite dish installed and get yourself a second-hand Sky Digibox.

However its nigh on impossible to do the same with Sky Sports, via a traditional TV service at least. You need to take some sort of basic package from the provider (Sky's Original Bundle, UPC's Digital Value or eVision's Essential Pack).

I got the Sky Sports package recently for 64e a month, but I got a good deal off the sales person at those kiosks. They gave it to me for 2/3 months at half price. Im paying BT 20e a month for that,so all in all its costing 84e a month. They good news is I can knock off the sports when the premiership is over!!

you're paying paying BT €20 a month, you need to ring them and renegotiate that price downwards.
