the nature of my job is that i dont really get to take much time off during the summer. usually i work 7 days a week and now with a with my first born i have even less time. i have over the last few years tried to make it to a couple of festivals a year but this year ive not had a chance to go to anything - i havent even been to the pub in 6 weeks
i was wondering if there are any festivals later on in the year...i was eyeing up that 'i love techno' event in belgium...has anyone been? or can anyone recommend anything else to me?

went to ILT a few yers back, it was ok, but not really somewhere i'd be pushed going to again to be honest.

Bugged Out Weekender in January was supposed to be good last year: http://www.buggedoutweekender.net/lineup2015

I was at I Love Techno last year, it was good but as ghostdancer said wouldn't be mad pushed to go again. It's only a one night event and it's basically just 6 massive rooms (warehouse size) with a different line up in each room, you have to buy tokens to exchange for drinks which was a bit of a pain in the arse, wasn't too expensive though tickets were only around €50 and flights were about the same into Brussels! If you're into that music might be worth going to but I'd imagine there is better around.

If you are into your winter sports , there is Snowbombing in Mayrhofen in April, but thats a long way away and pricey. I'd never go because i'd prefect a normal snowboarding trip earlier in the winter when the snow is good.
Theres the pitchfork music festival in Paris in november.
Theres this in iceland in november, get yerself a northern lights trip out of it.

Sadly there isn't anything really in Ireland except the samhain festival which is just a night out.
There was this last year http://www.irishburners.org/

Someone should try a festival in trabolgan like bugged out weekender and the nightmare before xmas do/did in butlins.

Just be warned, those Butlins chalets are bloody freezing in the middle of winter.

I went to ATP a couple of years ago in Pontins, Camber Sands. In December.
    It was sure-I'll-put-on-the-oven-and-open-the-door cold.
It was so cold that my memories of it are cold.

Want to do ATP in Iceland, though - it's in the summer though. https://www.atpfestival.com/events/atpiceland2015.php

    The IcelandAirwaves looks very good

Has anyone ever gone to Bugged Out? A few of us are thinking about going this year but haven't a clue what to expect, it's in a pretty awkward location to get to as well. What kind of crowd was at it? Are you allowed bring drink in or do you have to buy it in there?
