    Hi all,

It's been 4.5 months since my endoscopy and my biopsy results are still not in the hands of my GP.

I was told at the hospital the day of the procedure that I had numerous stomach polys that were not believed to be of a cancerous origin.

I am more than worried that these results have not been followed up especially after numerous calls to my GP and the hospital were the procedure was carried out.

Neither was I given a follow up appointment to consider the removal of the polyps.

I am both worried and frightened.

I would ring the hospital and try and get hold of the secretary to the consultant who performed the biopsies. Ask about an appointment too. Chances are everything is fine and they are just going to follow up with a routine out patient appointment to discuss the results but you shouldn't be left worrying and wondering for so long.

I had polyps removed during a colonoscopy - they remove there and then and then check them out - I was told directly after the procedure which was endoscope and colonoscope together (what joy - not) the results and that the polyps were unlikely to be sinister - I was called back to out patients two months later and it was confirmed all was fine. I wasn't too worried but your mind does dwell on bad news. So in your case I would contact them now by phone just to put your mind at ease.
