Have a radiator in just one room that was working fine but yesterday was cold dispute heat being on.
I went to bleed it and assumed water would just come out for a minute or so but 5 minutes later it was still coming out!

It is not supposed to be a few seconds?

    Didn't fix it.
    Ant tips?

Bleeding is done to take the air out, not the water ( or did I totally misread this)

monkey8 As per shatterproof bleeding is letting the air out once water flows its bled so I'd check all rads in the house as the airlock might be elsewhere and interfering with this rad.

Or balancing, turn other rad's down a little bit

    Thanks for all the replies.

I bled all the radiators with the heating on.
Didn't notice any air coming from any of them, just water.
I tried to balance them by turning down other radiators but still no luck.

Any ideas of what the next best course of action?

Turn off all rads except the one that isn't working. Then turn off the balance valve in the hot press. It should be a red wheel valve attached to the bottom pipe of your cylinder. Now turn the heating on and the rad should heat. Leave it going for 15 mins then re instate the test of the rads and balance valve

You should bleed rads with heating off for best results
