I'm looking for something which look like regular trousers but are at least water resistant, really dont like pulling on and off water proofs for showers etc....

Take any pair of trouser you like and put them through the wash with this stuff

    Nikwax

It will cope fine in light showers.

i have 2 pairs of Under Armour, winter warmer and heavier ones and summer lighter ones, both just look like normal golf trousers and both can handle a good shower without getting wet underneath. picked them up in mcguirks for 50 or so in a sale

edit... these ones.. i didnt pay anywhere near that though

The Oscar Jacobson range are very good - water repellent (in showers anyway) and quick drying.

For the deepest darkest winter mornings I use a pair of Nike Stormfit trousers, they're a bit tracksuit-y but I've had them checked over in the clubhouse and they said there's no issue with them. Wear them as a normal pair of tracksuit bottoms. Living in Edinburgh they've proved their worth a few times.

I have some UA pairs and while they are brilliant for wind/water resistance, I find them a bit clammy in warmer weather.

thats where the lighter style come into play, yes the heavier ones are quite clammy, but the lighter ones are grand
