Manual tuning of DVB-S2 HD channels now possible on Sky+ HD Box.

Can be done now it seems. Software update being rolled out allowing the selection of the 23,000 symbol rate (23.0) in the manual tuning of channels menu. This will allow people to store the various national versions of BBC1 HD and ITV HD regions that are in the DVB-S2 format in the Other Channels list. More info here:…

Yes this is good news. So is CEC and card pairing. If sky had any sense it would now look at the likes of Chromecast to add to its list of things to do for its future. the list of many hi tech media on Chromecast if sky can join it on any level to start with will give us hope. Sky will get rid of boxes in the future and have there own dongle you plug in. So they should start using the tech out there to keep ahead.
