According to the ad on the argos webbsite, the blinds come with "fixtures, fittings and instructions". Why not use what came with them??

Yes this is true, but they won't go in the place we need to put them, as I said we were having trouble installing them in a proper place with the stuff that came with it.

So we were thinking of using hooks to hang them.

Any other suggestions? Would it be hard to put hooks into the wooden piece of the window. Or even the wall above the window?

How would we do this exactly?

We don't want to wreck the window or wall.

I'd still recommend on finding a way to make the existing hardware work, but if you say that's not possible....

Hard to tell from the photos on the Argos website, but AFAIK those type of blinds are fixed at the top - no roller or anything - and a drawstring folds the blind up on itself, yes? If so, then a hook on each side should work. If it's a timber frame window, or the window surround is timber, then it's straightforward, just screw two hooks into the timber at the required location and hang the blind. If the window is uPVC then I'd leave the window alone. If the window surround is not timber - plasterboard or brick - then you'll have to get a suitable anchor for it. Best thing to do there is go to your local hardware store and explain what you want to hang, and the material that you want to hang it on.

This is exactly it. So I will give the hooks a go when I get the chance! Thanks.

Any other suggestions from anyone still welcome, if they know of something better.

If you post a pic of the top of the blind, and the window that you want to put it in, it'll make suggestions from myself and others much easier.
