You can get a special super glue remover which turns the glue into a jelly type substance and it comes straight off. Loctite make it but I've only ever seen it in a pack along with glue. Not sure if you can buy it separately.

I heard wd-40 was good for removing superglue, but off paintwork I don't know.

While cyanoacrylate glues form a great bond surface to surface, they're actually quite brittle, and can shatter fairly easily.

A hard backed blade used REALLY CAREFULLY as a scraper should pop most of that off for you. Be careful with glue thinners. They may work really well as paint thinners too...

Not in my experience but enda says otherwise. You could always ring the customer service number on the back of the Loctite pack and ask them before you do anything.

Just for clarity, I don't know either! Just something to consider.

You could try the glue remover on an inconspicuous area of paint first - maybe the corner of a bumper where it wouldn't be noticed or cause long-term trouble. I thought about the blade idea first too but the remover sounds preferable. What you could even do with the remover is dab it on in thin layers and remove the glue a little at a time rather than soaking it for ages and taking it all in one go.

Done it today just lightely dabbed it on areas most affected , took maybe 2-3 time applying but got there , gave it a quick rub of some scratch remover paste then :) good as new !!
