    This is a WILD fight.
    A pure slugfest.
Commentary is in Spanish, but if that bothers you don't say you're a boxing fan.

I have never seen a boxer receive a standing 8 count whilst sitting on his stool As to the 10 point must system, sometimes neither boxer can be awarded 10 points. If both are deducted a point for fouling then it's not possible to have a 10 points awarded to either.

I was going to mention this in the original post, but didn't want to spoil any entertainment. It was a crazy decision by the ref, as the boxer wasn't on his feet! Either don't give him a count or let him prove he can regain his feet before the count is finished.

With regard to the first round I would score it 9-5. I know they say 10 point 'must', but if both fighters lose points then...

Just read that article now, which I should have done before my post above.
Leaving aside all the dodgy stuff, what sort of a stupid rule is it to not mark a round any lower than 10-7 even if there's more than two knockdowns. That's extremely unfair on the boxer dishing out the knockdowns. Lopez got two 10-8 rounds in the second and third which put him in the lead (legally speaking) even though he had scored one knockdown less!
