    Hi Guys,

Looking to get an organist for a church wedding in Louth in 2015. Does anyone have any recommendations? What would the typical cost be of an organist for a wedding ceremony?

    Thanks

According to this Dublin Diocese resource (which I understand is referred to in many places), it's
The minimum suggested fee is €212, but should be higher when the musician is required for a rehearsal or when music has to be bought or learned.

Your first stop is the church - do they have a resident organist with first-right-of-refusal on all weddings? If so, what do they charge? (May be lower if they're not so well qualified as your average organist - it varies between places). If not, then you're likely to be hiring a professional so paying the standard rate.
