    Looks like the cat got it!!
    Its not Golden-ringed as it lacks the thick stripes on front of thorax (body) and the yellow stripes on the abdomen (tail).

    I think its a Common Hawker, but with is being mangled and picture a bit under exposed I'm not 100%

    I too immediately thought it was an overexposed Common Darter

    I have said Darter instead of Hawker for 50 years or more and always know its wrong. It a mental block of some sort.
