My 13 year old whirlpool is on it's way out, in the past I've replaced various parts but now the motor is really loud and it's clicking for some reason. what would you recommend I purchase keeping in mind energy use and water use.

Our first Bosch lasted 8 years including two when our house was rented out. Our current one is seven years old and going strong with no parts replaced. We average at least one large, 8kg, load a day as we've three children, everyone plays sports and I garden a lot. It performs well too and as I recall it's A rated. Would definitely buy Bosch again. My MIL has had three since we've had this one as she'll always buy the cheapest one in the shop.

ya I was thinking Bosch, but the big question is what is their back up service like, I have other whirlpool appliances and I found the backup service terrible.

I've only had one call out in the 15 or 16 years we've had bosches and I can't recall it being a problem. Any issues we've had were easily sorted by clearing the lines ourselves as per the manual. The call out we did have ended up being for a broken wire and that came to a total of a fiver on top of the call out charge.
