    Student moving to carlow :) looking for some decent spots for a night out... And where to avoid?!

    Student places: tullys, scraggs will be your stable! Foundry for nightclub. There are plenty of other pubs around, med bar serves late, the barrscks has a good smoking area but probably an older crowd. Use to be a pub on Dublin street catered mainly for students not sure if its still open. Ewings have a good pool area if you're into that. Don't worry you'll find your way!

    Carpe Diem is really expensive and for the mature set.

    Dinn Ri/The Terrace/Brooks/The Foundry are all parts of the one venue. Terrace and Foundry would be more your thing possibly.

    O'Loughlin's on Dublin St. is a pretty studenty place which I think is still open.

    Tullys has become one of the main student bars in carlow in the last few years its on the same street as the foundry (as are most pubs in carlow!!!)
