How to update my hdmi dongle to kitkat

I bought a hdmi dongle on ebay and the os is 4.0.4. play store wont work because i need to upgrade but dont know which upgrade or zip file to download. can anyone help please

Would need more info to help you troubleshoot. Make, model etc. pics of the error you are running into. One might have a little more luck then

Try freaktab. Look for the forum for your device and more than likely you will find some custom roms there.

You cannot just upgrade to kitkat, you need the manufacturer to release the kitkat upgrade for it. Failing that there may be a modding team working on a release for it, depends on how popular the device is.

a HDMI dongle with 4.0 is probably at least a few years old.

You'll need to give brand names/model numbers before someone can help you.

Play store should work fine on 4.0, i'd sayyour problem is something else.
