Looking to go somewhere within about a 2-3 hour flight. Would like somewhere with a beach, promanades to walk, but somewhere with a good bit to look at if you know what I mean. Not just a hotel and beach.

We were debating Barcelona as we love it but we can't find a nice big room or apartment that isn't massively noisey and miles away from city centre.

    Thanks

Cascais, near Lisbon, short flight, lovely long promenade beside the beach between Cascais and Estoril perfect for pushing a buggy. Plenty of restaurants and shops and just a half hour train ride to Lisbon if you fancy a change.

Cascais is lovely but I think there's far more to 'see' in Barcelona with Parc Guell etc. While I love Lisbon it's very hilly and dont think it's buggy friendly.

You could try Hotel Lleo at the top of the Ramblas in Barcelona. The rooms on the top floor are very spacious, and have a roof top private balcony, lovely and quiet and with black out blinds- a must for our early riser. There are only three of these room so you'll need to book early.

Thanks for that. I checked and rang them today and they are booked out until mid-October unfortunately. Would have been perfect I think. Still looking so.
