Quick question about a steering wheel

    Thinking of trying Assetto Corso.

I bought the wireless speed wheel (xbox) and have played a little on another game, but holding it up is a bit annoying and you can lose your bearings since it's not anchored.

What is the next step up? Something simple and fairly priced.
I lie on a recliner when playing so a steering wheel mounted to a table doesn't appeal.

    Thanks

You're not going to get a decent wheel that doesn't need to be clamped to a desk. Assetto Corsas big feature is it's forced feedback, you get a lot of information about how the car is behaving through the way the wheel fights back.

The bare minimum you should be considering is the dfgt, after that it's a g27, then there's the fanatec gear, after that you're into professional gear that costs thousands.

It really is worth getting a wheel and pedals for this game, you need to treat the cars as if they're real cars to get the most out of it. This is the kind of sim where after 20 laps in an online race you'll be sweating and full of adrenaline, it's not really a lie back on the couch kind of game.
