Hi. Are toilet seats universal? or is there anything I need to look out for when I buy a new one? Thanks!

If it's a standard toilet then a universal seat will do. But after that it's down to money. I always tell people to buy a seat with stainless steel hinges or if you buy a cheap seat make sue it has steel hinges and again if you get a cheap steel hindge seat then cover the hindge with something like acrylic nail varnish because pee makes it tarnish very quick

There are lots of different toilet seats. They are not universal in that you could buy a seat that would not be a suitable replacement. In general though I would just match to what you have.
