Watching free to air satellite the other night when signal went. When checking the signal it shows 85% signal strength but only 5% quality.Pretty sure the dish hasn't moved(it was a calm night),checked the wiring, seems ok,could it be the lnb.Any help welcome.

It could well be the LNB that has failed.Did you loosen of the connections at the lnb to see if they are corroded ?

If you can reach the LNB twist it to about 5 o clock and see what that does to the quality

End of the cable was a little rusted, clipped the end and re-inserted to the lnb, can't twist the lnb, fixed version.

Cover the F connector at the lnb end with a bit of amalgamating tape.
That will protect the connection from corrosion & future problems.

Did that, but now thinking the lnb may be gone, might be best option to get another dish altogether.
