Plus €50 per year in repairs when the cheap plastic cylinder head and fittings split. Make sure if you do get one you don't keep it in the shed they won't solerate the slightest frost even when drained down.

Bought 2 in B&Q Airside just now. Was just there a few minutes ago there were still about 12 on the stack. While I was there I saw a guy restocking 4 units so I don't know for sure how many more they have.

    Made in Germany.

Have to agree with this post. Bought a really good washer and once the cold weather set in, every feckin seal on the washer went and had to be replaced.

Yeah , Karchers are rubbish alright , but for 50€ its ok , Nilfisk or Kranzle ore tons better

In the interests of balance, I bought a K2 from Amazon in June 2011 so it has spent three winters in my shed and it still works perfectly.

If my 10 year old argos value washer has survived this long in the shed, I'd imagine a Karcher should be able to do the same.

From reading reviews this is a good power washer, it isn't always the case that price correlates with quality - especially when something is on special offer

bought one earlier on today. K2 performs very well around house and cars (110bar). For 50e u cant go wrong. Comes with 2 lances.

To few previous posts: if u leave ur karcher out in the cold during winter it will get damaged because of water freezes in the pipes and burst them. Rubber seals harden and crack too.

Here's the pump from a cheap nilfisk: photo-3-1.jpg

Here's the corresponding karcher bits: karcher_pressure_washer_cylinder_head_set_spare_parts_9001105_parts_real.jpg.

So you can see why it doesn't like frost.

It's back up to £50 again now if you buy from Amazon anyway. Think it still would have been worth a punt for £37 (would have only been used for washing the car etc) but I left it too late.
