I've heard a claim (from a not particularly reliable source that worked in the Waterford Eddie's before they torched it) that if there's 10 songs queued further entries take the cash but don't join the queue.

I was in a pub with a jukebox and it took 2 hours before the songs we put in came on.

Yes they've worked for me but it depends on the q you could be long gone by the time your song comes on.

Recent case in court Eddie Rockets vs Rockin Joes. Long story short Rockin Joes had to pay Eddies 300€ per table jukebox in order to keep them. They'd want to be real at that price.

It was the other way round, Eddie Rockets had to buy the jukeboxes back off Rockin Joes for €300 each.

Some work, but some of them definitely don't, I've been in a practically empty Eddie Rockets and put money in the jukebox without ever hearing the song I selected. Though the majority of them do seem to work.
