Covers of songs on film trailers and ads

Anyone noticed the tendency of marketers to promote films and other things using stripped down, often choral versions of famous (and more energetic) songs?

There's Scala & Kolacny Brothers' version of Metallica's Nothing Else Matters in the trailer for Zero Dark Thirty a couple of years back.

Then, this month, there's Lorde's version of Tears for Fears' Everybody Wants to Rule the World in the trailer for Dracula Untold, due for release later this year.

I'm sure I've seen this in other trailers, as well as TV ads. Can anyone think of other examples?

    It's cheaper innit?

Ulster Bank I think it was used a stripped back vocal remix of Melody Day by Caribou a few years back/

Yep you don't have to pay royalties to do a cover,

I'm sure there's an example of an ad using the Human League's Don't You Want Me? in a stripped down cover.

    Anyone remember what it was?

More sh-tty covers in ads and trailers.

"You're The One That I Want" (Originally by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John)

On the new ad for Chanel No. 5.

"I Feel Love" (Originally by Donna Summer)

On the teaser trailer for new film 'Men, Women and Children'.
